We should be kinder to each other

Women’s day?

Honestly, I did not think we had it that bad that we needed a day for ourselves at least not in the western world. In the countries that women need empowerment I am sure they are blissfully unaware of this day nor does it have an impact on them. The game changers in those countries are girls or women who speak up and stand up, which is a very admirable quality and speaks volumes about their strength. We should commemorate the individuals not have an impact less day. Not to forget the raging epidemic of days like this, earth day and day of the pet the list goes on. I have heard from various people getting spammed today with happy women’s day emails. Thank god I only received one.

Women’s day!

If we are going to have a day like this, should this day not be about being kinder to each other? Keeping the bitchiness and jealousy in check?

Being attacked first thing on women’s day by a woman regarding my actions is not a good start to women’s day and shines a very nasty light on how we treat each other. Instead of calling men out and making them the perpetrators, should we not be taking a good hard look at ourselves and how we treat each other? I know I have been guilty of giving into the green-eyed monster. I do try to keep my composure and not kick individuals shins, but it still happens from time to time

It starts with defying looks like the lady at the fitness studio, who gave me the evil eye, god knows why and continues to full-blown mobbing or bullying. Why do we still treat each other like that? What is it with this passive-aggressive catfight? I have to be honest never seen a man behave the way we women do towards each other. I am not saying men are the better humans do not get me wrong. They just compare each other less, are less emotional in disagreements and do not let everything get to them. Maybe for once we could take note and behave a little more like them. After all, life is hard enough why make it harder for each other?

On that note happy women’s day go out and be kind!
